报告摘要:
When two non-relativistic particles interact resonantly in three dimensions, an infinite tower of three-body bound states emerges, exhibiting discrete scale invariance. This universal phenomenon, known as the Efimov effect, has attracted significant attention across various fields, including atomic, nuclear, condensed matter, and particle physics. In this talk, I will present our recent theoretical progress on the Efimov effect. In the first part, we establish the exact renormalization relation for the three-body parameter and determine its connection to the energies of Efimov bound states. These results are corroborated by high-precision numerical simulations. In the second part, we explore few-magnon physics in long-range quantum spin chains, which are relevant to trapped-ion systems. Unlike non-relativistic particles with quadratic dispersion, long-range interactions give rise to a generic dispersion relation of the form ω ∼ k^z. This makes such systems a novel platform for realizing universal few-body physics beyond the traditional paradigm. In particular, we show that the Efimov effect for magnons can emerge in one, two, and three dimensions.
