Recent discoveries have revealed the existence of static black hole solutions harboring two photon spheres of distinct sizes outside the event horizon. This talk explores the potential observational signatures and (in)stabilities of these black holes. We begin by investigating the imaging of such black holes, highlighting the unique effects that future detections might exhibit. Subsequently, we focus on quasinormal modes of a scalar field associated with circular null geodesics. We demonstrate the presence of both long-lived and sub-long-lived modes, which can contribute to the echo signals observed in the late-time waveforms. Finally, the discussion concludes with an exploration of superradiant instabilities and the nonlinear stability of these multi-photon sphere black holes.

王鹏,四川大学教授,博士生导师。本科毕业于北京大学,于美国加州理工学院获得博士学位。主要研究领域为引力理论和弦理论,目前研究兴趣主要集中于黑洞物理学、数值相对论、弦低能有效理论及规范/引力对偶等。
