报告题目The scalar tidal matching from effective field theory

报告摘要

In this talk, we will discuss the scattering of scalar waves off compact objects, such as neutron stars or black holes, using the worldline effective field theory (EFT). By employing modern techniques of scattering amplitudes, we have managed to calculate the third post-Minkowskian (PM) order (i.e., two-loop) for the scattering phase shift. This calculation reveals the classical running of the dynamical Love number. Furthermore, by considering the scattering off black holes, we have precisely matched our phase shift to the results from black hole perturbation theory in general relativity. This confirms that the relevant static Love number is indeed zero, and also allows for extracting the classically running.

报告人简介

厉岳洲,2020年在天津大学获得理论物理硕士学位,2023年于麦吉尔大学 (McGill University) 在 2020 新视野物理学奖 (New Horizon) 获得者 Simon Caron-Huot 教授的指导下获得博士学位。现于普林斯顿大学 (Princeton University) 进行博士后研究工作,合作导师为 2023 狄拉克奖 (Dirac Medal) 获得者 Igor Klebanov, 以及 Simone Giombi 教授与 Silviu Pufu 教授。研究兴趣广泛,主要从事共形场论,散射振幅与S-矩阵,AdS/CFT 对偶,引力与黑洞物理等方面的研究,共发表 22 篇学术论文,总被引 609 次,平均引用 27.7,个人 h 因子 16。
