Recently, the concept of entanglement has been extended to timelike subregions. Several interesting properties of timelike entanglement entropy have been explored from both field theory and holographic perspectives. In QFT, entanglement measures are generally associated with correlators of twist operators. From this perspective, timelike entanglement entropy can be naturally defined by considering the Wick rotation of twist operators. Using this definition, we can also derive other entanglement measures in the timelike region, such as logarithmic negativity. In this talk, I will first introduce how to obtain the timelike entanglement measures within field theory. For timelike Rényi entropy, the results are generally complex-valued. I will also demonstrate the existence of an interesting sum rule that connects timelike entanglement entropy with spacelike entanglement entropy in 2D CFTs. This sum rule can also be generalized to higher-dimensional scenarios. Additionally, I will discuss timelike negativity. In the examples we consider, we find that timelike negativity is real-valued, which contrasts with timelike entanglement entropy. I will also briefly discuss the extension the concepts of entanglement wedge, its cross sections and the possible relation with the timelike entanglement measure.

郭武中,2016年于中科院理论物理所获得博士学位,2014年10月-2015年10月于京都大学基础理论物理研究所访问,2016年-2019年在台湾清华大学理论科学中心做博士后,目前为华中科技大学物理学院副教授。研究领域为引力理论与场论,研究方向为AdS/CFT、量子纠缠等相关内容。
