报告摘要:
5d supersymmetric gauge theories with eight supercharges show various interesting properties, incluing global symmetry enhancements and dualities at the UV fixed point. Their brane constructions have provided an intuitive understanding of such phenomena. In this talk, as an extension of brane constructions, we discuss a new perspective of viewing theories involving an orientifold. In particular, with the introduction of an O7-plane, we can discribe SO/Sp gauge theories depending on the charge of the O7-plane. We discuss the relation between their BPS spectra using the procedure called freezing of an O7-plane with flavor branes.
