报告题目半导体超晶格中的声子输运

报告摘要

    Phonons, the quanta of lattice vibrations, are the primary heat carriers for solid-state materials. The demand on effective phonon manipulation in semiconductor multi-layered structures urgently emerges, because of the crucial role of thermal management in semiconductor devices. However, the study on the phonon behavior manipulation has been a long-standing challenge, in particular to demonstrate in experiments. Thanks to the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) technique that can produce material with atomic-level controllability, we designed and grew a series of semiconductor superlattice structures to explore the phonon transport behaviors. In this talk, a couple of examples designated to manipulate the long wavelength phonons will be presented. In addition to the phonon transport study, an overview of the research interests and device applications of Laboratory of Advance Epitaxy (LAE) at Nanjing University will be introduced for open discussion.

报告人简介

    芦红, 南京大学现代工程与应用科学学院教授,博士生导师。主要研究方向是半导体材料和光电子器件,运用分子束外延技术制备半导体超晶格和新型异质界面,在III-V族和IV族半导体体系中展开材料设计、生长、调控、物性研究以及器件应用等方面的工作,重点关注材料的光电和热学性质及在红外、太赫兹探测和半导体器件的热管理方面的应用。发表SCI论文140余篇,授权中国发明专利10余项。现任《人工晶体学报》和《Thermal-X》编委,国际分子束外延学术会议程序委员会委员。
