报告题目Calabi-Yau Quantum Mechanics: Krylov Complexity and Thermal Entropy

报告摘要

This talk discusses two independent applications of Calabi-Yau quantum mechanics: Krylov complexity and thermal entropy. In the first part, we study the Lanczos coefficients and Krylov complexity in Calabi-Yau quantum systems, as well as some non-relativistic models. We find that for the Calabi-Yau models, the Lanczos coefficients grow slower than linearly, consistent with the behavior of integrable models. On the other hand, for the non-relativistic models, the Lanczos coefficients grow linearly and the slopes almost saturate a bound by the temperature.

In the second part, we consider the von Neumann entropy of a thermal mixed state in the Calabi-Yau models. Using the mathematical results on the asymptotics of the energy eigenvalues, we compute the asymptotic entropy in high temperature limit and compare with that of the conventional models. We discuss the connections with some folklores in quantum gravity, particularly on the finiteness of entropy.

报告人简介

黄民信2004年博士毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学,先后在威士康星大学,欧洲核子研究中心,东京大学卡弗利数物连携宇宙研究机构做博士后。他2012年回到中国科学技术大学任教授,入选国家人才计划,最近获得国家杰出青年科学基金资助。他的研究领域为超弦理论相关课题,主要涉及拓扑弦理论、规范/引力全息对偶以及弦宇宙学。至今共发表相关论文47篇,总他引2760次。
