报告题目:Single crystal growth and transport studies on square-net-based topological semimetals

报告摘要:Topological materials have attracted much attention due to their novel quantum phenomena and physical properties as well as potential applications. Layered AFM 112 manganese pnictides family with Bi/Sb square nets, AMnPn2 (A = Ca, Sr, Ba, Eu, or Yb, Pn = Sb or Bi), plays an important role in the topological semimetal investigation. It is theoretically predicted that the Bi/Sb square net could host Dirac dispersion, and was experimentally confirmed on SrMnBi2-related materials. In this talk, I first give a short introduction about the topological semimetals in square net and single crystal growth methods. Then I will give a detailed introduction about our recent works, including 1) New topological semimetal exploration based on the Bi/Sb square net. 2) The anisotropic transport study on square-net-based topological semimetal, and the discovery of a record-breaking anisotropy magnetoresistance (AMR) with the maximum value of 2.3×104 at 2 K in semiconducting EuMnSb2. 2) We study the interplay between magnetic order and band topology in square-net-based topological semimetal. At last, I will introduce our available single crystals and welcome for collaboration.
报告人简介:王爱峰,重庆大学物理学院研究员。于2014年博士毕业于中国科学技术大学物理系,随后在美国布鲁克海文国家实验室从事博士后研究,2018年11月通过重庆大学“百人计划”引进。主要从事凝聚态物理中量子材料的单晶生长和相关输运性质研究,主要研究对象包括铁基超导体;狄拉克半金属/外尔半金属等拓扑材料。发表SCI文章70多篇,引用2200多次,单篇最高引用300多次,H因子30。
