Topological phases of matter are of profound fundamental interest and significant practical relevance. In this talk, I will present our recent efforts to explore nonequilibrium topological phases using currently available noisy intermediate-scale programmable quantum processors. Our work includes the design of universal quantum circuits for implementing nonequilibrium topological phases, the development of a theoretical framework based on chiral quantum dynamics to probe nonequilibrium topological densities of states and invariants, the prediction of exotic nonequilibrium topological physics emerging at temporal interfaces, and the realization of nonequilibrium higher-order topological phases on a programmable superconducting quantum processor. These results open new avenues for investigating interacting nonequilibrium topological phases and pave the way for demonstrating potential quantum advantages arising from their distinctive many-body dynamical properties.

梅锋,山西大学光量子技术与器件全国重点实验室教授、国家高层次青年人才、山西省杰青。华南师范大学博士、美国加州大学Merced分校和新加坡国立大学博士后。主要从事量子模拟和量子光学研究。以第一作者和通信作者在Science、Nature Communications和PRL等期刊上发表论文50余篇。
