报告题目：Termination of Black Hole Superradiance from a Companion Object

报告摘要：

A superradiant cloud of ultralight bosons near a rotating black hole provides a smoking gun for particle physics in the infrared. However, tidal perturbations from a nearby binary companion can destabilise the boson cloud and even terminate superradiance. In this talk, we will review the build-up of black hole superradiance, and show how the superradiant cloud can decay due to gravitational fluctuations as small as 10^{-8}, such as a small companion star around the black hole.

报告人简介：

王一，香港科技大学教授，香港科技大学太空科学与技术研究院副院长。科研方面：他研究理论物理、宇宙学，发表科研论文一百多篇，被引用六千多次，曾任剑桥大学霍金高级学者、获基金委优秀青年科学基金项目（港澳）资助、香港大学教育资助委员会的研资局研究学者、青年学者奖等。教学方面：他在B站讲量子场论、广义相对论，在Coursera开设现代物理系列课程、在蔻享直播广义相对论课程，也曾任国际物理奥林匹克竞赛香港地区领队。科普方面，他曾参与编写第六版《十万个为什么》、出版科普书《一说万物》、《一说三体》等，科普视频及直播播放超过一亿次。
