The study of celestial holography on non-trivial backgrounds has recently gained interest. In this talk, I will first review some basic ideas of celestial holography. I will discuss two specific examples of celestial holography on non-trivial backgrounds. In the first example, I will show that the celestial MHV gluon amplitudes evaluated in the presence of a spherical dilaton shockwave are given by the correlation functions of primary field operators factorized into the holomorphic current operators times the “light” Liouville operators. They are evaluated in the semiclassical limit of Liouville CFT. Then, I will consider MHV amplitudes on self-dual radiative backgrounds as the second example. I will show that celestial soft gluon algebra and $w_{1+\infty}$ algebra are undeformed on these backgrounds.
