报告摘要:

Chiral Spintronics is an emerging field that studies the structural (static) and dynamical chirality in spintronics. For the dynamical chirality here, in the literature different terms are used to emphasize different aspects of the same thing. “Unidirectional” refers to the current direction, “chirality” is a fundamental symmetry property that governs this direction, while “nonreciprocity” is an asymmetry of mutual interactions in coherent systems by broken symmetries, of which unidirectionality is an extreme consequence. Here, the theory and experimental realization of dynamical chiral coupling among magnon, photon, phonon, and electron are summarized and explained universally. The novel dynamics adds functionality to downscaled spintronics devices, such as non-contact chiral pumping, unidirectional spin transport, chiral Seebeck, magnonic non-Hermitian skin effect, spin blockage/trap with perfect energy/spin transfer between two magnets, nonreciprocal level attraction, and phonon/magnon/microwave photon/electron spin diode effects. The chiral interaction with laser in chiral superconductors can switch the chirality of Cooper pairs and control the Majorana modes, which is promising in the future quantum computing.

报告人简历:于涛,2018年博士毕业于中国科学技术大学,之后在荷兰代尔夫特理工大学,日本东北大学和德国马克斯普朗克物质与结构研究所从事博士后研究工作。研究专注于超导,磁性,半导体和冷原子等关联材料的超快动力学以及非平庸物态和拓扑性质。
