We perform a detailed analysis of a large class of effective holographic models with broken translations at finite charge density and magnetic field. We exhaustively discuss the dispersion relations of the hydrodynamic modes and successfully match them to the predictions from charged hydrodynamics. We compute the optical conductivities and the quasinormal modes and observe that the pinning frequency of the magneto-resonance peak increases with the magnetic field, revealing the quantum nature of the holographic pinning mechanism. We then study metal-insulator transition induced by the charge density, magnetic field and disorder from holography. Some universal scaling behavior is uncovered, in agreement with experimental observation on certain 2D materials.
报告人简介:李理,2014年博士毕业于中国科学院理论物理研究所,2014年至2019年先后在希腊克里特大学和美国里海大学从事博士后研究工作,2019年3月底入职中国科学院理论物理研究所任副研究员。研究领域主要包括引力理论、黑洞物理以及引力全息性质。取得了具有一定影响力的成果,包括空间自发调制黑洞解、量子物态新奇输运、非费米液体谱函数和黑洞热力学等方面。在PRL、JHEP、PRD等刊物发表论文35篇,被引用1300余次。
